  • Google and eBay passes, but Amazon fails the “exam” of ChannelAdvisor. Research within ChannelAdvisor channels shows a 43.1% annual increase in sales derived from Google Shopping ads, a 5.9% rise in eBay same-store sales in August and a 10.5% rise in Amazon same-store sales. That is the second-lowest data for the company since last year.

  • Ikea launches its e-commerce in Spain. The Swedish company will start slowly, since it is only operative in two stores in the entire country, but this seems like a test that if performed well, will likely affect the other stores.
  • European e-retailers face pricing hurdles. The European Commission states that more than 40% of retailers are facing price recommendations or restrictions from manufacturers and even having to compete with their product providers.
