Our series of remembering nostalgia of online stores continue. Previously we’ve found one of the first landing pages of popular websites in Netherlands and Greece. This time, E-commerce Romania is on our target. We’ve found the former editions of most popular 35 online stores in Romania.

E-commerce Romania became popular and is growing day by day with 2.05 billion for the year 2016 and expected to reach 2.5 billion in 2017. Romanian users spend approximately 5 million euros every day. Also according to the research by GPeC published on Ecommercenews, a Romanian online shopper made 8.4 purchases on average.

It is estimated that there are approximately 5,000 online shops active on the market. However, research shows that there are over 20,000 websites in Romania that have a shopping flow and add-to-cart buttons active. The most popular product categories are still consumer electronics & IT, fashion & beauty, home & decoration, and baby & kids.
